Chapter 3: UNIONISING
Revolución Puta is a political manifesto in the first person. Exploring the world of sex work from the perspective of the women portrayed, the film opens a debate on its taboos and precariousness. After the film, there will be a moderated conversation with Utsopi and Boys Project discussing the recently approved labour law for sex workers in Belgium.

What is the real door and what is the false door to enter the world of the prostitute with a camera? Arrive with a sign calling it sex work and with that, pay the first debt to satisfy the regulations? Arrive with a sign calling it patriarchal oppression that must be abolished, and pay the first debt to satisfy the abolitionists? Revolución puta, journeys into this universe with, through and from them, claiming a unique place of inalienable legitimacy that assumes no debt to anyone.



After the screening there will be a conversation with Utsopi and Boys Project

Utsopi is a belgian community organization that defends the rights of sex workers. Its actions are focused on destigmatization work, the fight against violence and discrimination, and on advocacy for sex workers' rights. Utsopi led the struggles for decriminalisation that was successfully voted in 2022.

Boysproject is an Antwerp-based social organisation for men, non-binary individuals and trans women who earn money from sex. The organisation provides low-threshold welcome and support for this target group.
